Today, avocados have become a modern day health food craze. Whether you're applying it as a spread on toast or using it as a thickner in your smoothie, the means in which you can use this fruit are endless.
With that being said, avocados aren't only good for your insides but they are significantly beneficial to the skin as well. This super food consists of high concentrations of Vitamin E and C, which are fat-soluble and water-soluble antioxidants. When these vitamins are combined, they are highly effective in protecting the skin from sun damage, reducing inflammation and increasing collagen production. Environmental damage breaks down skin cells and leads to fine lines and wrinkles, but avocados are a natural remedy for treating these detrimental effects. Avocado oil is very hydrating and it can be used on all skin types so the next time you pick it up, think of it as a natural skincare hero.
Here are a couple products I like to use that consist of this super fruit:
- If you're looking for a natural, vegan lip balm that will heal, dry cracked lips while adding a subtle gloss, then check out the the vegan lip balms by Good Earth Beauty.
