Most people actively try to minimize the number of toxins that enter their body. They eat good food, they drink purified water, they breathe purified air, and some even take added measures to detoxify their body. However, what many people don’t realize is that toxins can be absorbed through their skin.

No time is this more important than when deciding what kind of soap to use. Given the industrious process used to produce many of the commonly known soaps, it’s not a surprise that most contain questionable chemicals, dyes, and fragrances… questionable substances that many of us would be better off avoiding. If you want to minimize the “casual toxins” you and your family are exposed to, consider using organic soap.

Good Earth Beauty Soap Bars treats skin to a total cleansing experience with their natural organic oils in their soap.  Organic Oils are often thought of mostly for light, summery aromas, but I love using organic essential oils all year round.

My use of the organic oils increases during the colder months as they are energizing and help to uplift the spirits. Especially since the summer is something and I want my skin to be in the best shape possible. When using the right blends like their chocolate Espresso Moisturizing Soap made with essential oils you can definitely feel confident that your skin is going to look vibrant and feel smoothe.

What are the ingredients in their Organic Soap?

Coconut Oil:

Coconut oil is an excellent massage oil that acts as an effective moisturizer on all types of skin, including dry skin. Unlike mineral oil, there is no chance of having any adverse side effects on the skin from the application of this oil. Therefore, it has been safely used for thousands of years for preventing dryness and flaking of skin. Coconut oil usage

It also helps in treating various skin problems, including psoriasis, dermatitis, eczema, and other skin infections. For this exact reason, coconut oil forms the base ingredient of various body care products like soaps, lotions, and creams that are used for skin care. It also delays the appearance of wrinkles and sagging of skin, which normally accompany aging. It helps with anti-aging because of its well-known antioxidant properties.

Olive Oil:

Over the last decade, everyone has been harping on the beauty benefits of olive oil, but the truth is this kitchen staple has been used on the body since ancient times (thank you, Cleopatra). Naturally, olive oil is packed with anti-aging antioxidants and hydrating squalene, making it superb for hair, skin, and nails.

Why I like Good Earth Beauty Soaps

Many people have sensitive skin that doesn’t respond well to chemically laden soap. By using organic soap, you might be able to avoid, or at least reduce, the skin problems that are caused by irritating chemical ingredients. Organic soap contains ingredients that are not, and have not been produced with, herbicides, chemical fertilizers, or pesticides. It’s invaluable for those who suffer from chemical sensitivities.

Even if you don’t break out in a full body rash, the chemicals used to make conventional soap will most assuredly dry your skin. Non-organic soaps usually do not contain glycerin (a moisturizing agent). Unfortunately, many people wait until itchy, dry skin is a problem before making the switch to natural soap.

It’s important to be educated about harmful ingredients prior to purchasing soap products. You want to refresh your skin, not harm it with toxic chemicals. I tell people all the time, if you can’t pronounce the words on the back of the label then you need to put the product down because it can’t be good if you can’t pronounce the words!

Harmful Commercial Soap Ingredients

Otherwise known as chemical preservatives, these harmful ingredients are found in the majority of commercial soap and beauty products.

Known to cause cancer, this additive is often used as a ‘plasticizer’- a fancy word for an ingredient used to produce plastic.

Made from petroleum, these chemicals should be considered unsafe for humans because little is known about the long-term effects they have on our health.

Synthetic Perfume

Artificial perfume scents, although they smell nice, are linked to allergies and hormonal issues. As well, synthetic ingredients such as perfume are likely to cause skin conditions and to aggravate existing issues such as acne.

Artificial Coloring

Commercial soaps are packed with artificial dyes that have been known to cause health problems, cancers and illnesses in humans.

Healthy Natural Soap Ingredients

Healthy Oils

Despite common belief – oil is actually an important ingredient in soap, especially if you have oily or acne prone skin. Added oils like coconut oil, hemp oil or safflower oil to help to nourish and moisturize the skin.

Essential Oils

Scented natural soaps are usually created with an essential oil to produce a natural, harm-free odor.

I shower daily, so it is important that I use a soap that will not harm or dry out the skin.

I like to use Good Earth Beauty Soap Bars.  All of their products are free of artificial colors, fragrances, preservatives or any synthetics. I have tried many body washes, but Good Earth Beauty Soap Bars smelled great, kept my skin moist, and feeling clean.

It came quickly, packaged well and I recommend it to others.  I will continue to use Good Earth Beauty Soap Bars.  I was highly impressed with their soap.
