Confession time: up until today, I have never used a facemask. Never. Not even one of those cute little packets that you can get at any drug store for less than five bucks. I’ve always wanted to try one, though. It always “Oh I want to try that!” but then weeks and months would go by and I think at some point I became afraid to try one. Weird, right? I have super sensitive, combination, acne prone skin so I have to be careful and very selective about what I use on my face.

So, when Good Earth Beauty sent me the Strawberry, Apple, and Banana Brightening Facial Mask in powder form, I was ecstatic. Here was an amazing product with ALL NATURAL organic, vegan ingredients and I thought, okay. We’re going to give this a go. And now I wonder why in the world I waited so long to start using face masks!

This product is AMAZING. Since I had never used a face mask before, I wasn’t sure what to expect, so let’s start with ingredients first. In this mask, there are 6 ingredients: French clay, Kaolin Clay, Organic Dried Strawberry, Apple, and Banana Powder, Vitamin C, and are blended with oats.

You know it must be good when you can pronounce everything in it https://www.goodearthbeauty.com/facial-mask-strawberry-apple-and-banana-brightening-mask.

How to apply the mask: mix one tablespoon of water with one tablespoon of dried mask powder, and mix together until it forms a paste like texture. Apply a thin layer using your fingers (you can also use a brush but I used my fingers) and let it set for about 15 minutes, or until dry.

As the mask was drying, I could feel my skin start tightening and tingling with every passing second. It’s a strange feeling if you’ve never used a mask before, but it’s totally normal.

How it works: It starts with the ingredients. Each ingredient has its own unique skin care properties. Strawberries act as an astringent and contain salicylic acid to exfoliate dead skin. Strawberries also have antiseptic properties, which can help refresh your skin. Bananas have antioxidants and potassium, which helps inflammation and irritation, and calms acne prone skin. Apples have Vitamins A, B, and D that help with skin repair.

Once the mask is dry, you can either rinse your face or take a washcloth soaked in warm water and wipe your face off, which is what I did.

My face is softer than it ever has been, luminous, and refreshed. I highly recommend that you try this face mask, along with their other amazing face masks as well! And if you’ve never used a face mask before, this one is going to be your new best friend!
